I have been looking at the colour picture of the Thredbo River that I posted recently. It has received many ‘likes’ and even a few ‘loves’ but as is often the case with this old black and white enthusiast (me) I wondered what the reaction would be to a black and white version of the image. There’s only one way to find out so here it is.
You can find more of my black and white pictures by going to the ‘Shop’ tab above and then choosing ‘Photographic Prints’.
As I understand how difficult it is to establish the quality of a print that you may wish to buy on line I am offering until the end of March a sample print at A4 size (21×29.7cms) of any print that you are interested in for $15 for delivery to an Australian address ($20 overseas).
If you then want to buy a larger print of that picture the payment you have made will be deducted from the price of the new print. This offer is valid for orders received by the end of May.
To benefit from this special offer, just select the picture you are interested in then go to the ‘Sample print’ tab, complete the form including the picture reference and submit it. You will then receive an invoice payable to Pay Pal. Once it is paid your sample print will be posted to you. When you wish to buy a larger print of that sample use the form under the ‘Contact’ tab to place your order (include the reference of the picture and the size you want) then an invoice will be posted including the discount. When paid, your picture will be printed and posted.
My images and articles have been published in more than sixty publications throughout the world including a number in Australian Photography and I have over 1,500 images with Alamy, the UK on-line photo library. I also was a columnist on freelance photography in the UK magazine Freelance Photographer.
My fine art prints hang in private collections in Australia, United Kingdom, Canada, and the Cayman Islands and I print all sizes up to and including A2 (42×59.4cms) generally using Ilford high quality paper. If for some reason you are not happy with a print, feel free to return it within 14 days of receipt for a refund of the product price.
Go to the ‘Shop’ tab and then the ‘Photographic Prints’ tab to see my prints.
As a keen black and white photographer from way back I thought it was about time I had a dedicated fine art black and white photography page on this website so here it is. The Black and White Enthusiast happens to be the name of my business when I represented the UK publishing firm of Creative Monochrome in Australia. It was also the name of the magazine I founded and later sold to become Silvershotz so it had to be the name of this new page. Its tab is at the top of this page so pop over and have a look.

Just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with the print number that you want a sample of and the address to which it is to be sent and I will send you an invoice that is payable through Paypal using your credit card. Once I am advised that payment has been made I will print and post your sample.
I hope you will approve of this new page.
